SGA brings back paper towels

Recently, SGA and PUC administrators were able to have paper towel dispensers reinstalled on campus. Currently, there are dispensers in the CLO and Anderson buildings. The paper towel dispensers were installed in student lounges and vending areas to aid in the assistance of spills. Full story

  • Plan for the worst; pack a paper towel

    The issue: PUC has reinstalled paper towels in select areas on campus for clean-up purposes. Our stance: Pick one or the other or plan for the worst. It is no surprise that college students can be messy. Look in any guy (or girl's) dorm, and more than a handful are sure to have dirty clothes and snack cake wrappers strewn across their floor.

  • Lost flash drives pile up

    Every week at PUC many flash drives are left in campus computers or taken to the lost and found. According to PUC Chief of Police Anthony Martin, individuals have ninety days to visit the lost and found to recover their missing items. In the case of missing flash drives, the owner must show some proof of ownership by providing some type of identification or some specific report that might be stored on the flash drive.

  • “Bossypants” and funny bones

    It is not often readers find a book that can make them laugh several times a chapter.  Not just snickers here and there, but loud, gut laughter, like a drunken uncle on Christmas. "Bossypants" by Tina Fey is definitely one of those books, and it is now out in paperback.

  • 2012: the year that punk broke

    The music industry had a greatly significant year in 2011. It was a year that saw underground music begin to tie the noose around the neck of the mainstream market. Sure, pop giants like Lupe Fiasco, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga continued to top the charts, but backyard heroes like La Dispute, The Wonder Years and Touché Amoré began breaking into Billboard territory – a feat usually unheard of for independent bands.
