Baseball

The largest crowd this year at U.S. Cellular field saw White Sox win in the Cross Town Classic against the Cubs by a score of 6-0.

White Sox hitters got to Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano early, while Sox pitcher John Danks kept a zero on the board. Sox out fielder Jermaine Dye added his team leading 18th home run in eighth inning.

Soccer

Brazil achieved a ccme-from-behind victory against U.S. Men's soccer team in final for Confederations cup in South Africa.

Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan scored to put U.S. Men's team up, only to have Brazil score three times in the second half. The U.S. had previously beat Spain and Egypt.

Nascar

19-year-old rookie Joey Logano won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in Loundon N.H. The victory makes him the first teenager to win on the NASCAR Circuit.

NBA

After being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Center Shaquille O'Neal has chose to sport 33 on his jersey, a number he wore in high school, and LSU. When he played professionally, he sported the number with Orlando, Miami and Phoenix In the 2009 NBA draft, The Bulls drafted power forwards James Johnson and Taj Gibson in the first round. Johnson is 6'8" and came from Wake Forest while Gibson is 6"10 and came from USC.
