Mary Anderson remembers the last time she heard Stephen Hough's voice.

He called three days before he died, she said.

"He called to ask for advice about his job search after college and asked if I wanted to get up at the break of dawn to get extra graduation tickets together," the public relations major said, who had known Hough for a year.

An investigation by The Chronicle over the last three months has concluded the PUC University Police is in violation of multiple laws related to public access and police records.

The laws being violated include the Clery Act, which requires campus police to maintain an updated crime log available to anyone, and Indiana Code 5-14-3-5, which requires all police agencies to release the names of arrested individuals, along with the reason for arrest and the arresting officer in the incident.

Ian Ferguson walked past a colorful swatiska etched on Gyte.

His attention drew quicker to what was drawn below his feet on the sidewalk.
The marketing communications major squinted his eyes and bent down for a closer look.

For most, getting drafted by a NFL team is the chance of a lifetime. Whether it is in the first round or the seventh round pick. But for Caleb Campbell, the 218th pick overall, it is so much more.

As the Army defensive back stood on stage in his full uniform, not only had a dream come true of being drafted, but Campbell found himself not going to Iraq.

In the fast lane you just go. There's no time to think about being underrated or never being able to get a victory yet.

On April 20 at the Twin Ring Montegi, Danica Patrick tasted sweet victory for the very first time in the Japan 300.

At the end of the race she was immediately bombarded by family, cameras and photographers for achieving her accolade of being the first female drive to win a race.

Here's a fun and free way to enjoy the summer evenings: intramural fishing. PUC has a lot of intramurals, but most of them run during the school year. The fishing intramural will be enjoyable because it runs through the summer months of June and July. This will be way better than sitting at home and playing a fishing video game.

The NASCAR brass can rest assured that no bounced checks will be coming from its newest ownership team.

We all know what Randy Moss' favorite form of currency is "straight cash, homey."

That's right, Randy Moss, the freakishly talented receiver, who caught an NFL record 23 touchdown receptions in 2007 with the Patriots, will throw his hat in the ring as NASCAR's newest owner.

The 'how to' on building an arcade

Ever been to an arcade? It's a magical place where many come together to drop a load of money to play some game that will probably be selling on a console in the next month or so. At least that's what they were like in the past. There are plenty of people out there who miss going to the local arcade of old so they decided to do something about it.

Josh Holmes is up to old tricks on new acoustic CDs "Stripped Down Volume 1" and "Stripped Down Volume 2."

Holmes strips down to basics while keeping beats simple while performing hits solo.

The tracks for these two new CDs are just that - solo, simple, routine.

An end to PUC violations

The issue: PUC Police Department

Our opinion: Minimal compliance is unacceptable

An investigation that The Chronicle had conducted over the last three months has put the PUC University Police in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. They've violated laws such as the Clery Act, while hiding access to public information that shouldn't be "hush, hush.

A trip back to the '90s

Although I make fun of "old people" who act nostalgic towards their generation, I find myself feeling sentimental towards the generation I grew up in (the '90s) although I could technically comprehend half of the decade.

I miss simpler times I experienced "back in the day.

Quite the hypocritical conundrum

As Jim Morrison once said, "people are strange." It's a very true story. People are extremely strange and impatient, yet at the same time they can be so absolutely wonderful.

It's a conundrum.

Take this example. You and your friends are hungry and your trying to figure out where to go.
