"I think we're in too much of a hurry on offense," said Head Coach Dennis Smith. "And until we get someone to handle the ball and play offense, that's how it's going to be."
For the second game in a row the Lady Peregrines seemed unready to play, making bad passes and getting called for traveling and double-dribbling. Although the Lady Trolls led by eight points for almost the entire first half, PUC came back to close the gap, 28-26, at halftime.
Turnovers still haunted the Lady Peregrines after halftime, but PUC kept the score close. Trinity College however, played tough defense and the Lady Peregrines struggled against their back court press.
Midway through the half, the Lady Trolls took a double-digit lead and although PUC battled for every ball, they came up short 75-54.
PUC shot 46 percent from the line and 48 percent overall, while Trinity College shot 79 percent from the charity stripe and 45 percent total
"We should never give up this many points," said Coach Smith.
