"I'm just the old guy who does laundry," saidTustison.
This is Tustison's third year with the team as manager. Tustison, who worked with the Lake County Park District for four years, was referred to the job when the managerial position became open at PUC.
Tustison does a lot for the team.
"He's the man behind the scenes," said freshman guard Jay Harmas.
Tustison is the man who takes care of the practice uniforms and the only one who touches the game uniforms. He supplies water, towels and support to the team.
"I'm the supply train," said Tustison.
Tustison is considered a friend among the players and has developed relationships with them.
"It's a joy to see him," said Harmas. "He's the man."
Tustison's love of sports and love of basketball keeps him going everyday. He is someone who follows through with things that need to be done. The people Tustison works with make his job easy and stress free, and his work ethic not only benefits him but the people who work by his side.
"Harry is very organized, which makes it easy to work with him," said Tim Luxford, a sophomore majoring in secondary education and the other team manager for the Peregrines.
Tustison has a great sense of humor that puts smiles on faces, and his characteristics make it easy for players to come to him for advice.
"We would know if he wasn't here," said junior center Kevin Thomas. "He is a big part of this team."
Aside from the managerial position at PUC Tustison still has time for his other job, school. Tustison is currently eight hours away from receiving an associate's degree at Prairie State College and plans on transferring to PUC for the spring semester.
So plan on seeing him a lot more around campus.
