TNA best in wrestling entertainment

Professional wrestling isn't a sport, it's "sports entertainment." Many of us - whether we admit it in academic company or not - remember watching the World Wrestling Federation on Monday nights and WCW's Monday Nitro before the current incarnation of World Wrestling Entertainment. And many of us also remember what ECW was before Vince McMahon turned it in to the Sci-Fi Channel circus it's become.
As a fan of pro wrestling, I watch (or DVR) Monday Night RAW and Total Non-stop Action Impact each week. I'm too disgusted to watch what ECW has become - greats like Tommy Dreamer get minimal screen-time while a guy dressed like a vampire cuts promos.
TNA, however, is a breath of fresh air. With better matches than WWE, more interesting wrestlers, and a feeling that the fans actually matter, TNA is everything that WWE used to be and more.
My fiancé and I occasionally indulge in wrestling pay-per-views, and watched WWE's Survivor Series in late 2006. Though it was one of WWE's better pay-per-views this year, it was still a disappointment.
On Sunday, January 14, we watched TNA's Final Resolution. Final Resolution had one exciting match after another, including a 30-minute Iron Man match in which Kurt Angle beat Samoa Joe despite suffering a (real) concussion.
After watching wrestling greats Sting and Jerry Lynn as part of the exciting program, we were very happy with the money we spent on the pay-per-view - very different from our post-Survivor Series reaction.
McMahon may be ruining Monday Night RAW beyond repair, but at least I know that I can turn on TNA Impact each Thursday night and be entertained.
