The Minnesota Twins signed four players last week, including American League MVP Justin Morneau to a one-year deal. The Twins have yet to sign catcher Joe Mauer, but they better sign him soon because Morneau can't carry this team on his back.
Spring training is less than two weeks away and the central divisions are the favorites to reach the World Series again. Finally they're getting some respect; it only took three straight World Series appearances.
The Cubs are looking to break the curse in 2007, but just because they spent a few bucks doesn't mean it will happen. They'll continue to be cursed for many years to come.
NFL
Packers QB Brett Favre will return for yet another season. Favre is excited to play and why shouldn't he be, he has a few more records to break before retirement. He's already a sure hall-of-famer.
The New York Giants and Miami Dolphins will play in England on Oct. 28. This will be the first NFL game ever held outside the states. Next time the NFL needs to rethink which teams to send; no one wants to watch the Dolphins and Giants no matter what country they're in.
The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly interested in interviewing Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera. It's hard to see Rivera leaving the Bears even though every coach's dream is to be a head coach.
Former Cowboys reciever Michael Irvin was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It's about time. Irvin was a huge piece in the Cowboys dynasty in the 90s.

Last week Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was suspended for unintentionally hitting Spurs guard Manu Ginobili in the face. The NBA is making a statement that this kind of play will not be tolerated whether it is intentional or not.
Bulls guard Ben Gordon and Luol Deng were left on the outside-looking-in for the all-star game. Gordon and Deng are having better seasons than half the guys that made the team. It's official, the all-star game has become a popularity contest.
The Seattle Supersonics has cleared Rashard Lewis to practice. Lewis has been out for a good length of time with an injured hand. The Sonics are a much better team with Lewis in the lineup.
