In today's day and age, people are becoming video stars by simply uploading their videos on sites like YouTube, Google and Myspace. The chances of becoming famous from such videos is a long shot, but Ziddio (ziddio.com) has one contest, Ten Day Take, which puts you one step closer to stardom.
This is the first year for the Ten Day Take contest, according to Stefanie Williamson, who does promotions for the site. All that is needed to enter using any way you like to tell Ziddio about a great concept for a new TV show. Once it's completed upload it on Ziddio to enter Ten Day Take. No experience is needed and anyone 13 years old and over can enter the contest.
The grand prize is a trip to Los Angeles, where the winner will be in a reality show about filming their pilot and working with Endemol- a top production company that will assist with producing and getting your show to other networks. Endemol also offers $50,000 towards producing the winning pilot.
The show will be on Ziddio's Video on Demand on Comcast Cable, Williamson said.
The promo clip on the Ten Day Take website gives basic contest information while being entertaining at the same time. One clip shows a team of people trying to film a video in a grocery store only to be chased out. Another is a parody of "Desperate Housewives" on Tiffany Lane which features two men spying on their neighbor who see winning the contest as a way for wives to notice them. They debate whether or not their neighbor really needs a woman to come over to clean the pool.
One of the videos on the website is called "Canyon of Heroes," a drama centering on the goings-on in the office and in real life. "Canyon of Heroes" is also the name of the street all of the events in the series take place on.
One of the most viewed videos is called "Live Feed," a clip about all of the bizarre things that could happen on a newscast including a weather forecaster who predicts the temperature one day to be 174 degrees and a reporter who is a "terrorist for justice."
All entries must be in by Feb. 28 and for more information visit www.ziddio.com.

I just wanted to let you know that nothing ever
happended with this contest. I was a contestant with a show - but

not win - but they never actually chose a winning
show. (Continued…)
