White Sox commemoration a disgrace

The Chicago White Sox organization made a despicable move last week. The seats of U.S. Cellular Field have been painted green with the exception of two, which were left blue as a commemoration of the two homeruns hit in the playoffs of the White Sox' 2005 World Series Championship season.
Hmmm. This sounds familiar.
Don't the Boston Red Sox have a seat in Fenway Park honoring Ted William's historic homerun ball?
Paul Konerko's grand slam and Scott Podsednik's game-winning homerun in extra innings of the playoffs were both momentous occasions which should be documented as major accomplishments in White Sox history, but it is nothing less than a crime to do this the same way as the Red Sox.
First of all, Fenway Park is a landmark in the Major Leagues. Even when the old Commisky Park was standing, it didn't hold half the prestige of the green monster.
Konerko and Podsednik may have had decent careers so far, but they aren't even in the same league as Ted Williams, who is arguably the best player to ever lay foot on a baseball field. They certainly do not deserve to be immortalized in the new White Sox' stadium. Podsednik probably won't even have a starting job this season.
The stories involved are far from being comparable. Williams hit the longest homerun in the history of ancient Fenway Park. His historic homerun ball hit a napping Yankee fan in the head and the incident later caused him to become a Red Sox fan.
Konerko and Podsednik did not by any means hit homeruns of this historic merit and they certainly did not nail any visiting Cubbies fans and turn them into south side supporters.
As a White Sox fan I am embarrassed by the organizations decision and I find it insulting as a fan of the game to reuse an idea honoring the great Ted Williams.

Wow, this article is just garbage.

Do you study at the Jay Mariotti School for Journalism? The lack of research and unwarranted shots at the White Sox in this article are very similar to how that windbag writes. (Continued…)

Are you really a White Sox fan? Becuase this has nothing to do with the great Ted Williams or the Boston Red Sox, but everything to do with the Chicago White Sox. (Continued…)

If you REALLY are a White Sox fan, isn't your April Fools joke a little early? I mean what White Sox fan in their right mind would downplay two of the greatest home runs in White Sox history? The other folks already addressed my other issues with your factual errors, so let me just add "ditto" to those. (Continued…)
