Berrafato said the types of motivation at the seminar 'How to Hunt Elephants Lurking in Your Back Yard' was held Feb. 20.
"There are two types of motivation, external and internal," Berrafato said.
He used the word elephant to describe people's dreams and unfulfilled passions. He said elephants are internal. Berrafato said his role as a hunter is to help people identify and begin to fulfill elephants. He suggested the biggest lie in life is a person never has enough time or money. He believes success depends on attitude.
"Sometimes you're the bug, and sometimes you're the windshield; it all depends on your perception," Berrafato said.
Berrafato listed six steps for accomplishing important tasks. The steps included brain storming and writing down the elephants, making a priority list of the most important tasks, getting organized, and turning off the television.
Berrafato wants people to understand and separate the important 'elephants' from other tasks and to always leave room for improvement.
