Mike Daniels is a sophomore majoring in broadcasting. It's pronounced "leet," and it's short for "elite." It originated on the internet. l33t is the term for replacing letters with numbers or some characters which look similar. Daniels was letting the campus know in computer code that he is elite by writing it in the snow for all to see.
