Intramural volleyball continued Thursday night in the REC Center Gym.
In the first game on the North Court, the Bad News Bears defeated the Eagles by scores of 21-19, 21-13, and 21-19.
"Our season's been going good so far. It's been pretty smooth. We're undefeated so I'm looking forward to the playoffs," said Joe Borys, a senior majoring in fitness management.
This Won't Last Long, another undefeated team, beat Hawaiian Punch by scores of 21-16, 24-22, and 21-10.
"I thought we played good. We got good communication skills. We play like a team, we got that killer instinct," said Alex Flores, a junior majoring in fitness management.
Other action throughout the night consisted of 2 Drink Minimum defeating A Taint Away 21-17, 21-18 and 21-10, while Bumpin Bears took over Villains II 21-14, 21-17 and 21-14.
Intramural Sports Coordinator Matt Dudzik feels the season has been going over smoothly.
"So far, so good," he said. "Everyone is having a really good time. I think there are about four or five competitive teams that will challenge for the championship."
The final two games of the week included Bump, Set, Spike II who swept the FCC Eagles 21-14, 21-18, and 21-16, while PUC Spikers defeated Puns 21-16, 21-13, and 21-17.
The league is attempting to make up the canceled games from week two due to the snow storm that closed the university. The current plan is to play roughly one extra game a week.
The first took place Thursday as PUC Spikers overtook Bump, Set, Spike II. PUC Spikers dropped the first game 13-21, but came back to win the match 21-14 and 21-18.
There will be one more week of games, with a week-off due to Spring Break. Games will resume after the break and will continue until the championship in May.
