In 2011, the total amount of donations PUC received for the fiscal year was $1,457,028.08. According to Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations Diana Virijevich PUC is able to receive donations from individuals, alumni, corporations and foundations.

Donations can be made to different areas such as scholarship funds, departments (English, Math, Accounting, et cetera), schools (Education, Management, Technology, EMS, LASS, and Nursing), programs and athletics. Alumni can also donate to their school or department given that most departments have scholarships.

The donations to PUC are broken down in this manner: 755 alumni donors gave a total of $270,008.35, 84 corporate direct donors gave a total of $626,452.79, 19 corporate matching donors gave a total of $8,410.00, 152 friend donors gave a total of $143,681.19, and 28 organizations gave a total of $408,475.75. Virijevich works specifically with alumni, solicited a couple times a year via mail, e-mails and telephone calls. The office of advancement has a director who solicits corporations and foundations.

”Private giving has become even more important due to state funding cuts. It enables us to provide more scholarships for students and campus resources,” Virijevich said.
